[uClinux-dev] doubts about development applications in petalinux

hi,
   
  i am new on linux programming so, i have some doubts, i hope that you can help me please:
   
  1. Does petalinux can work with multi-threads??
  how can i use multi-threads in petalinux, does anybody have an simple example??
   
  2. Is there a guide or a tutorial or a book or something like that, where i can learn how programming in petalinux my own applications??, any suggestions please?
   
  3. i try to program my own applications on petalinux, but i always use low level drivers from Xilinx like:    
  XGpio_mSetDataDirection
  XGpio_mSetDataReg
  XUartLite_RecvByte
  etc
   
  but i know that i should program via OS layered driver, what is the difference if i use xilinx drivers and OS petalinux drivers??, is there some drawback of use xilinx drivers??
