Hi everyone,
We are using the gcc-3.4.0 compiler for an application running on a
Coldfire 5307.
We are running a XIP binary.
The GOT-table is now growing full, so we are going to split out some of
the statically linked libs into shared libraries. To hopefully save some
space in the GOT-table in the application.
But I read something scary at
www.uclinux.org/pub/uClinux/m68k-elf-tools/gcc-3/, in the "Known
problems"-section.
It says:
"Code generated with -mid-shared-library does not work in some cases".
Does anyone know in which cases the problem occurs?
Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Richard
