Just afraid that installation of libncurses4 will impact the host(2.6 =
kernel,libncurses5)??

I think 2.4 kernel should be compiled by arm-elf-tools. I always have =
compiling errors when with arm-uclinux-tools.

You should install libncurses4, maybe libgtk1.2 is also needed.
