Yes, it works but needs a little tinkering.

1. I'd suggest Callipso it seems to be a little more intelligent it what it 
expects to work.
2. Your gonna need a newer m68k-elf that supports the MI interface (don't know 
when this started exactly but all the 6.x series have it)
3. You might need to apply some patches, they're in the archive here and on 
the gdb list.
