I was looking in uClinux-dist/lib/zlib, and it looks like from the README
that this is zlib 1.1.4 - according to
was released 11 March 2002?
According to the same, 1.2.0 (released 9 March 2003) includes new and
improved inflate code (about 20% faster) and crc32 code (about 50% faster).
Add that to the fixed memory leaks, fixed bugs, and improved malloc code -
is there a reason not to upgrade to 1.2.2 (3 October 2004)?
The reason I ask is that I was digging into an issue I was having with mpd
( http://www.musicpd.org/ ), which seemed to be fixed by upgrading zlib.
