[uClinux-dev] Toolchain target

What's typically the --target option used when building a
uClinux/uClibc toolchain for the ARM7? It seems to me it should be one
of...
	arm-elf (arm-unknown-elf)
	arm-linux (arm-unknown-linux-gnu)
	arm-linux-uclibc (arm-unknown-linux-uclibc)
The older documentation used arm-elf. It looks as though the more
current buildroot uses arm-linux-uclibc (REAL_GNU_TARGET_NAME) when
building the toolchain, but uses arm-linux (GNU_TARGET_NAME) when
building the user-space applications. What's the reason for this
difference?

I see that the GNU config* files also have an entry for arm-uclinux
(arm-unknown-uclinux) . Is this target defunct now that nommu has been
rolled into the standard Linux kernel?

Thanks for your help. Cheers,
Shaun
