Another issue is kernel size.  2.4 is larger than an equivalent 2.0 
kernel.  A 2.4 kernel with networking and a cs8900 driver is around 870K 
(text+data+bss), while a 2.0 kernel with networking and a cs8900 driver 
is around 515K.  So if size is an issue, 2.0 is worth considering. 
 Otherwise, 2.4 has a much larger driver base to work from and is 
probably your better choice.
